Was Ariel Castro a "white Hispanic"?

Wondering because everyone said George Zimmerman was a "white Hispanic" and that was a big deal and distinct from being a non-white Hispanic. Now he's dead from committing suicide so it's probably now or never to get an answer to this question which is ever-burning in my mind.

But there MUST be a difference otherwise the media wouldn't have made the distinction in the case of Geo. Zimmerman. Don't they only relate the pertinent facts of a story?

Why bother. White, black or mulatto Hispanic there is no difference. His last name is Hispanic and a mestizo.

We could know something about the racial profiling of Ariel Castro if we knew about other Mexican people calling him "güero" ("caucasian boy"). But it doesn't made him "totally caucasian", due to a complex History of interethnic (Indigenous Mexican, Subsaharian African, Spanish and other European) intercourse in the History of Mexico.
