Why are there so many fat people in nevada?

Okay I know it sounds totally messed up but why? I lived in Colorado for my childhood and cali in my teen years and never in my life have seen so many fat people. I moved here about 2 years ago and all I see when I go anywhere is at least 5 fat people. And the majority of the time its women. 
I just find it repulsive and can't stand seeing it. It's not that hard to eat right and exercise. And I'm not talking about chunky girls. At least most of them have tight chunky bellies. I'm talking about people I mistake for whales. Like they're so huge they can eat an entire whale. They have so many rolls and ripples you don't know if its a person or a wave pool. And the flappy underarm thing most have goin on. Ew. 
Why don't women care about how they look anymore?

When I think of Nevada I think of Vegas.
When I think of Vegas I think of all you can eat buffets that every casino has as a loss leader to get people in the door.  I also think of sedentary slot jockeys. 
Add the two together and voila!
