Why is it, that a Society so bent on going to Heaven?

When we greet someone we say 'Hell'o?

@Dude: In a perspective, I can view your point; however, what you may perceive what the masses believe as the premise of Heaven; is no near as Great as what is in store.

@Donelle: Laughing my guts out and rolling on, what I perceive as, the floor.

@leda; This is not a perspective of an Individual, but a 'general, overall view of all sects.
What would be wrong with saying "Heaveno"?
Which would actually break down to Heave no ! It would be a reminder too not eat too much Pizza, with all that bear.

@Darkcloud: In perspective, if someone acts like a Horses Azz; the Horseflies, will stir up and they will get stung quite a few times. Yes, too ‘dream’ of such a place is most desirable; however, dreaming of such a place, will still not stop the stinging; until the Horse steers a different path, and heads for a different pasture. The Greener one is usually preferred.
Hay; even though it will be a Hello; the Bye will still be a Good one.

@Stu; Howdy is (Cowboy Ebonics) for How are you; Which brings up a thought; how many ways do we have to greet someone or answer the phone, other than Hello. (Heck, a guy named Buffalo Bob made a whole kids show from on of them).

@Happy: I thought that Society was made up of Individuals. This is referring to the general majority of the Individuals that make it up. I know where I am going; as I have already visited there in 1972.
Now if I actually believed that the majority of Mammals 'enjoyed' brushing their teeth; then I would be in the Oral Hygiene business. The only reason the Humanoid brushes ones teeth; is the fact that Humanoids are the only Mammal that eats Cooked Food. (BTW: Make sure that your Dog gets a good brushing at least twice a month).

I am going too leave this a little longer, in case any of you would like too add anything.

@darkcloud: The name of the 'family' of the Horse Fly is Tabanidae.

@ Outside: (Prof. Ron); Yep ! Getting rather expensive from what I am used too. I don't need too go to Hell; I have already been there; but that is a funny note though.

I would like too see some more added thoughts, if you may people.

there is a fly that likes to suck the blood of horses , not sure what it's called . but it will not leave the horse alone , so it uses it's tail to try to swat it away , but the fly is relentless , if it were just the one fly , mabey the horse could tolerate it , but it's several flies and they take turns pestering the horse all day , as long as the sun shines the fly bites . it's bite feels like an itch that burns and burns . this will go on for the horses entire time on earth . if you were a horse , and someone offered you a hopew of a place where no flies bit wouldn't you dream of that place even if there were no proof . beets fighting flies with no hope . hope gives you strength , some of those bites can't be felt when in the middle of a dream . something to do with adreneline .

Regardless of the validity of the concept, societies do not get into heaven, individuals only are admitted.

Like asking why do mammals enjoy brushing their teeth.

Dr. William; you smoking again?
I see that you have gotten some better stuff; as, Your 'well' is getting a little too deep.

Well, as a premise that most people believe that they are headed there anyway; we make light of the fact in our greeting. (ie: Westward Ho!).

Why not Obliviono?

Whoever said that society is 'so bent on going to heaven?
I never hear anybody even talking about Heaven, not in our part of the world anyway.
If they cared at all everybody would try to behave like saints, but they don't, do they?
