Does life felt more simple in the 90's and early 2000s?

Is it just me or does life in those times were much less of a hassle? You know less pressure on a lot of things, making more life more simple in a number of ways.

Can you give reasons and examples to how this came to be? Maybe someone can also share their story?

That's an interesting observation. I was a teenager in the 90's, graduating in 2000. No one I knew had a cellphone. There was no Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, or anything like that. I am SO glad there wasn't. I don't think life was simpler, but it seems as the years go on things get more extreme. People want more and more. Kids have more and more and everyone is so obsessed with the latest phone or gadget that double as status symbols. But we've always had status symbols, they just seem to be coming faster and faster, newer and newer. And more expensive. It feels like a lot of whirlwind mentality with no time for meaningful connections and everyone looking for the next version of whatever new toy. Everyone is in so much debt and we're always finding new monthly bills to pay. NetFlix, cellphone, cable, everyone has student loans now. I think there is more pressure in general from a superficial society to keep up with all of the bells and whistles. Frankly I think it is a bunch of crap and I'll not buy into it. That whirlwind can keep on rolling right by this girl.
