How bad was that dive from Gareth Bale?

Who else was watching the game? Caballero made some fantastic saves, but what is he meant to do when Ronaldo is gifted penalty kicks from his new partner in crime Gareth Bale? The difference between Barca and Real Madrid is when Barca dive (and rarely is it that obvious), they don't get penalty kicks, but a Real Madrid player goes down after a hand is placed on him the referee points straight to the spot.

Kevin, make some sense. It's a display name, if I asked questions and mentioned Iniesta constantly I'd understand your answer but I don't. So your comment is just your petulance showing.

Okay Abzman, Neymar trips a lot too.

Hey Doc, the word "irony" is thrown around so much on this section for mostly the same reasons that it almost isn't ironic anymore. I mentioned Barcelona because it's a fact that in La Liga, the referee favors Real Madrid more than Barcelona. You just have to look at the amount of false penalties Real Madrid are given, this isn't the first time this season. So calm your ****.

Saint Iker we all know Neymar is a diver, in fact I even mentioned it. I think that for all clubs penalties shouldn't be given unless the referee knows for sure what happened, and as we have seen numerous times that isn't the case, they give them from what they thought happened, not what they seen clearly themselves.

Vhalin - MJ was one of the funniest users back when I joined along with Dubya, and he was also knowledgeable, he definitely isn't like Thuthuka. Busquets exaggerates pain to the point where it's embarrassing but they are usually genuine fouls, a dive is throwing yourself to the floor when little to no contact is made, which Busquets is no where near as bad as Ronaldo, Bale, Neymar or Alexis.

A Barcelona fan complaining about diving? The irony. They openly admit they do it and call it smart play.

For the Bale incident, it was a tough call but it was more of a trip, he was running at pace with much pressure from the defender and while trying to stop he fell. It was a 50-50 chance to call the penalty.

Edit: In La Liga, there is not another side that complains more directly to the ref after any call that doesn't goes their way or play acts more than Barca. This season there have been two controversial calls that gave Madrid the upper hand, i would not of given a penalty for either of those calls but they where given. Today was a hard call so this makes your initial debate invalid. I am perfectly calm, your the one who seams to be exited by using profanity.

The two things i wanted to point out where that the Bale penalty call was not a dive & your continued prejudice towards Madrid has got very old very fast.

1. Even though a dive is a dive nevertheless, it is kinda different for a skinny/small player like Neymar or Di Maria. Which player didn't dive at 17 until 21 or 22? And it is completely different for players like C.Ronaldo or Bale who oh so proudly flex their muscles but can't handle a little push.

2. Busquets' reputation as a diver is solely based on one occasion (vs Inter), even though Thiago Motta clearly and deliberately tries to shove his face. I bet 98 % of the people who claim he is a diver can't come up with 2 or 3 other dives of his (without looking it up on Youtube of course).

3. Both RM and Barca are favoured by the refs in Spain. Sevilla's goal vs Barcelona was wrongly cancelled and RM were handed 2 unfair penalties (against Elche and today) which were decisive ones. Having scored an unjust penalty when the score is 4-1 is different from scoring one in the 90th minute when the opposite team could have equalized.

4. Almost every user was dodging the question and concentrating on Neymar or Busquets. The question was did Bale dive? Yes he did, but he should at least make it more believable than that.

Bale didn't roll around the the floor and claim it was a foul though, when he fell he didn't ask for a penalty so the ref wasn't influenced at all by an act, he saw the incident and deemed it a penalty.

I doubt it was a dive if he doesn't ask for a pen.

It is rich coming from a Barca fan. Neymar is the biggest and dirtiest diver is history, he makes CRonaldo's and Busquets dives look like nothing.

Barcelona don't get penalty kicks because they dive so much it's difficult to tell whether they are cheating or not

''Bale didn't roll around the the floor and claim it was a foul though, when he fell he didn't ask for a penalty so the ref wasn't influenced at all by an act, he saw the incident and deemed it a penalty''.... LMFAOOOOO...... so it's OK to dive as long as you don't make it too obvious?? HAHAHHAAHHA So when someone dives it's OK as long as he gets up right away?? HAHAHHAAHA

I never met more hypocritical people than Madridistas.... they have some of the biggest divers in the world and the KING of divers himself but for some reason they all act and pretend they're saints. For example... Busquets made maybe 10 dives in his whole career, CR had a 2.8 dives PER GAME trough his whole career but in their heads Busquets is a bigger diver than CR?? LOL Same goes for Neymar, the guy needs to CONSTANTLY dive for another (at least) 5 years to catch the total number of CR's dives in his whole career but for Madridistas Neymar is biggest diver in the world and not CR??????? HAHAHHAHHAHAHA

Every Barca fan will admit that Neymar, D.Alves and Alexis are divers.... that's what makes us bigger than any Madridista. When we see that one of our players is doing something not honourable we will be the FIRST to point it out and admit it, because this is how things work in Barca. In Madrid things are much different, they will blindly defend their players no matter what, I mean they DEFEND PEPE'S ACTIONS.... and that's the difference between Barca and Madrid.

I stopped taking Maradona's comment seriously when he said Busqyets has only dived 10 times in his career.

Ronaldo used to be a big diver back at Manchester. He has dived far less in the part few years.

Neymar is the greatest diver of them all, and should be swimming alongside Michael Phelps.
