Keep getting knocked back from job interview because I don't have enough experience?
Ok I'm 23. I got my Batchelor of IT in December of 2012. I was working casually as a web developer for 4 months until my boss decided to not give me any more work because I don't have the skills to develop some of the complex webpages he wanted me to design (Technologies that I haven't even heard of or studied and he expected me to be a mastermind of these technologies in a matter of seconds, moreover expected me to do work at a senior level)
I'm having trouble to land a job. I just graduate and finding it hard to get a job. It hard enough to obtain a interview with an employer and the response that I get from every single employer who have interview me is that "I don't have enough experience". I am a bit nervous when I do go into interviews (specially when they are constantly asking me question and take me a while to answer them or think back, which is very hard to do in a interview). However, I'm finding it hard to get into the IT field since of my lack of experience. I dunno what to do anymore (Don't just say volunteer)
I'm just barely able to pay my bills, I'm living on paycheck by paycheck from newstart (Centerlink AUS), the job services agency provided by centerlink is of very little help, I've tried cold calling employers with very little succession, my university career hub have been very unhelpful at all, I'm looking online everyday for new jobs. Plus, whenever I apply for a job that not related at IT, they keep telling me that I'm overqualified. This is really starting to run me down and I'm starting to realise that I'm going to have a bleak future ahead of me. I'm running out of option as into what to do.
