Why do realtors think they are exempt from do not call registry? (Just because a listing expired)?

They are not exempt. Any solicitation for business or call for any reason from businesses that don't have an established relationship with the customer is under do not call.

The exemption exists but only when a previous business relationship has been made. Realtors are just as culpable to the no call list as any other telephone solicitor.
I get tons of calls and am so tired of it and yes, I signed up on the registry. I also get tons of phone calls from politicians. I can add that you need to know that no profits have the right to call although they get the same answer from me. I'm going to get a whistle.
finding new people to do business with who are legit prospects is not really the intent of the prohibited calls on the 'do not call' list. It was meant to target robo-calling cold call centers, which harassed all of us to achieve a small sample of 'Yes sign me up' customers.
