I'm a hapa. Half Asian, half white. I'm part Thai. I've developed most traits from my mothers side, the white one. I'm pretty tall, have a white nose, and I guess a white looking smile. Asian like eyes, but a mix of both. Dark hair, etc. what do I identify as? People do judge me already. Some don't even believe me.

Can you show us a pic? Most people who are both Asian and white look more Asian, at least to people in the USA. People will prob count you as Asian...unless you look like Keanu Reeves who is visibly both

Typically people of mixed European/white and Asian ancestry are called Eurasian. But you can identify with whichever side you think you look more like or the culture you closer feel comfortable with. I'm mixed Caucasian and Asian as well... but I don't really identify with any culture other than American. But racially I usually identify as white since I look mostly white. I don't deny any part of my ethnicity though, I just don't really talk about it unless asked. My brother looks more Asian though, he looks similar to Keanu Reeves.... even then hardly no one ever bothers to ask him about it, I suppose they just assume he's white. But then again a lot of white people in the US are part native-american which are Asiatic people... so I suppose it's no big deal.

I have a daugther who's half white. I'm Chinese, and I wouldn't even let her take my last name because there's a lot of prejudice in America against Asians. Asians are the only race in America where it's okay to spread blatantly incorrect/exaggerated propaganda about under the guise of entertainment. (the only exception is South Korea, who is America's greatest ally in the East and will often be portrayed as docile, smart, and kind) Even Justice Harlan, who trumpeted the civil rights movement in the US supreme court said in his dissent to Plessy vs. Fergusson that "all races should be treated equally except the Chinese, they are just too different." (look it up) Women are seen as submissive and objectified and I'm not having any of that for my little girl. If people ask you what race you are, just tell them the truth, but if they don't ask you, no reason to wear your heart on your sleeve. Hang out with who you want to hang out with, like what you want to like, and if other people stop and stare, just ignore them. Be proud of who you are, the people of your race have nothing to do with you.

Why categorize yourself in ONE or even two ethnic groups?!
You are Mi (if that is your name). That is who you are. Your mother happens to be white (you should learn what country (or countries) she can trace her roots back too), and your dad happens to be Thai! They are your parents and they created YOU.
There is hardly anyone who is a "true-blood" anymore. And it shouldn't matter anyway. Be proud of who you are, what all is on your family tree, and that should be that. :)
