my new resistor has metal touching metal.?

I bought it used, can this be a cause why my blower motor not getting power.

what metal is touching what metal. you have not provided nearly enough info for anybody to help.

metal touching metal sounds like you are describing a short, which is a major problem anytime electricity is involved.
