I know it may seem a no-brainer to get a manual transmission considering it's a sports coupe. I don't really know how to drive stick but I suppose I can always learn. From listening and reading consumer reviews, I hear that the paddle shifters on the auto make the AT worthwhile but that it still doesn't measure up the manual.
Traffic is one negative I can see w/ a stick and the only real times I can see that being a problem is when I might be trying to find parking in Seattle.
For someone who doesn't have much experience with a stick shift, would it be worth to get, especially for this car? My reasons for getting this car is to have a daily driving car and enjoy driving along twists and turns.

The paddle shift is not a stick without a clutch it's an automatic with a auto/manual valvebody or tcm programming depending on how they design them. I would go with the stick for durability reasons. It'll also be more fun to drive than a slush box in a low powered car. In my opinion you don't need an auto till you get to 500+ horsepower
In Russia most cars have a stick. I used to drive with a stick. Traffic in Moscow is horrible. Traffic everywhere! The clutch is annoying to drive with. On every stop, street light, traffic. Pressing the clutch, moving the shifter. For a week it's fun and all, but after that it gets super annoying. I now drive a 2010 Camry V6 with an Automatic. It is so much nicer without your leg working the clutch. The shifts are smooth, and there is much less hassle. Definetley go with Automatic. If you want to have manual fun sometimes, just switch to sport mode, and shift for yourself. Go with Automatic. Good luck =)
Just bought my wife a 2009 Jetta manual transmission it took her a little while but now she loves it has always driven an automatic i would not let that stop me you will aqquire another skill,transmission is also cheaper to fix if you need to.
