How do football players keep from getting frostbite in really cold games?
A lot of them played with exposed arms today despite the near-zero temperatures. I know a few players did get frostbite from the Ice Bowl in the '60s.

THey warm up on the sidelines during the games when they are not on the field. Some wear jackets, in fact most wear jackets and the benches have heaters under them for them to keep warm.

My best guess is that almost all football players have an extremely good work ethic, especially with their eating and exercise habits, during every offseason. What these football players do is eat healthy, and exercise by doing a lot of running every day. Doing these things help football players get into better shape, which greatly reduce their risk of getting frostbite in really cold games.
