Ok, so I took 4 years of guitar lessons a while ago. I wanted to pick up the guitar again and start playing. I started learning all my scales and bar chords(it's what I left off on in lesson). But after a week I realized something--- I'm not very self-motivated.
My thought is that rocksmith will help get me to play faster by exercising my fingers and keeping me entertained while playing. I don't know... Any thoughts??

It's all-right but lacking. It's only geared to what "others" want to play. New songs you may like cost money.
My recommendation is to learn tablature and use sites like songsterr.com. It's free and there are thousands, and thousands of songs.

It does help, to some extent. It will refine your skills, and more. However, you'll need to practice songs outside of the game and refine your skills even more
