I would say the following will be elected:

    Greg Maddux - a lock!

Tom Glavine - also a lock!

Frank Thomas - should be a lock but we'll see!

Jeff Kent - who has the best offensive career stats of any 2nd baseman in history should but it's a 50-50 chance. He will however eventually be elected.

Mike Mussina will eventually make it as well but not on the first ballot.

Jim Edmonds has an outside shot but I doubt that he will get in. Great defensive player but his offense may not be enough.

The rest of the list - not a chance!

Of the list that you provided I can only see maybe 5 inductees; Greg Maddux, Tom Glavine, Frank Thomas, Mike Mussina, and Jeff Kent. I can make a good argument for Edmonds, he was one of the best defensive players ever (8 golden gloves), but offensive numbers get you in the HOF and he doesn't have the numbers.

Maddux, Glavine and Mussina are no brainers, Maddux has over 350 wins (18 gold gloves), Glavine has 305 wins, Mussina has only 270 wins but was dominant for so long he deserves a spot.

Frank Thomas is a lock, the standard is 500 HR's, he has 521 hr's and a lifetime batting average of .301. Kent is a 5 time all star and won the MVP one year. He doesn't have 500 hr's but he played positions where HR hitting was not the standard (SS/2B). He checks in with 377 HR's and a lifetime batting average of .290.

The rest on your list just don't cut the mustard. Kenny Rogers only averaged 11 wins per season, Gonzo had one great season where he hit 57 HR's (I suspect steroids) his previous high was 31, Sexson's career batting average is lower than a crickets belly. Gagne was the greatest closer for about 3 years but HOF means longevity. How dare you even bring up the rest of these bums in a conversation like this.

Greg Maddux for sure he will the highlight of the 2014 HOF class. I hope he is wearing a Braves hat when he goes in.

Tom Glavine he was one of the greatest left handers to play the game. I hope he chose he wears a Braves too.

Frank "Big Hurt" Thomas he was a great 1B in his day. He would only look right in a White Sox hat.

Mike Mussina was a great pitcher.

Jim Edmonds will probably get in too.

I could also see Jeff Kent, Luis Gonzalez, Moises Alou and maybe 2 or 3 suprises.

Maddux and Glavine, without a doubt. Big Hurt probably, although maybe not first year of eligibility. Jeff Kent, maybe. No to the rest. Sorry, no Trot, no Moose. Certainly a drug user like Gagne and anyone else on that list can just forget it.

BTW, Foulke and Gagne pitched in the Northern League, an indepenent minor league and both hope to get back into the majors next year.

Maddux, Glavine and Thomas are going in first ballot.

The only other I see going in are Kent and Mussina but it'll be years after 2014 before they get inducted.

I'd like to say Edmonds - he's a walking web gem - but I don't think his defense will be enough to make up for a career with less than 2,000 hits.

I think Maddux and Glavine are no-brainers. Thomas and Mussina, IMO, should be 1st balloters but the writers can be fickle. Get Andre Dawson to save a seat for Edmunds on the "Why aren't they in" bench, Kent is an a$$, so I don't care if he ever gets in. The rest, IMO, shouldn't get in without a ticket like the rest of us.
