Thanks all for your answers, I will consider them all,,,,(well most of them).
Yes Joshua, labor unions choose to spend their money in that manner, but why do they choose that manor?
Robert, read the article, they are doing exactly as I suggest. Can you say “SEIU”.
MTR 2.0 I am looking at the big picture. Increasing the pay of only 1% of the work force by a few bucks will have no effect on other wages or stimulate anything.
EIEIO, raising the min. wage is in no way going to shut down the fast food industry.
Pragmatism Please, anyone working for 10 years and still earning min. wage has much bigger problems than money.
T.R., I like the way you are thinking. What benefits the union is the key.
honestamerican, you are close, and I’m ignoring nothing. Your answer is the official union answer, so I know it is a deception, but again only 1% of the workforce earns min. wage, so they can only effect a small percentage of employees.
che_obama: Bingo Follow the money, a labor union do
che_obama: Bingo Follow the money, a labor union does not spend millions unless it can make billions. Raising the min. wage raises journeyman wage, which raises union dues, which raises campaign contributions to the democrats party.
bob, Unions may be democratic to union members, but they are legalized extortion and racketeering to business. I’m sure many union members are very good people, but I’m referring to union leaders, specifically SEIU union leaders, and the only thing union leaders care about are union members and democrat politicians.
ms manners. Foot in the door is a good answer but not the best answer, I’m sure some day fast food will be unionized.
