Throbbing pain near mole?

I have this mole on my back just to the left of my neck and it's been there for as long as I can remember. I don't know when it started to change, but now it isn't so symmetrical and the mole is kind of all over the place. It's not very big, it's all the same color, it doesn't itch, it doesn't hurt, it's not scabbing, but it doesn't look like my other moles...the symmetry just isn't there.

I don't know if this is just me being paranoid, but I'm having this dull, throbbing sensation (I don't want to call it "pain" because it doesn't really hurt) near my left upper arm and near my collarbone on the left side. I'd like to think it could be a pinched nerve or something because I was doing some rigorous activity with my arms two days ago, but I'm not sure.

I'm going to go to a dermatologist soon, but any thoughts on what the throbbing could be would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Doubt if the throbbing has anything to do w/ the mole, especially since you say think it is related to recent physical activity, but mole changes can be melanoma, a potentially deadly form of skin cancer that can spread to the blood/ lymph system. To be safe, have a doctor, preferably a dermatologist look at it, as even with new melanoma awareness, a lot of general doctors/ internists can not identify one correctly.

Definitely have it checked out immediately if it's changed shape or border at all. Changing moles need to urgently be seen by a dermatologist. I know!

I think it's worth looking at especially since it's grown. Of course, it could just be inflammation and irritation. I'd say put lotion on it and try not to rub at it. If it gets worse, go to the doctor immediately just in case! I hope it's nothing, I'll keep you in mind in case it is.

i wouldnt say to go to the doctor but id suggest a dermatologist just to check his scalp. the scalp is a thin layer of skin so with that kind of pain, it needs checked out.
