What do you think of people who say "don't judge me"?

They may as well say, "I'm an idiot and screwed up royally but you must ignore it and not point it out to me. I have news for everyone who says "don't judge me." People are judged every day of their life, on their appearance, actions and words. If you have sleeve tatts or a teardrop, guess what? That hiring manager thinks you're a moron and you stand zero chance of getting the job. If you don't want to be judged, you better hide out in your home and never go out in public. But then people would judge you and call you a weird hermit. So there.

It reminds me of how cats fight. They grab you and they push you away at the same time.

A variation I see on here ALL the time is someone asking a really trollish question and then saying "please, no troll answers". WHAT?

It depends on what they don't want to be judged about. Sometimes it's something like enjoying Disney movies as an adult, or something harmless like that. I agree with you though about a lot of things.

Lol so true... in a way.

However, I find it a little bold for them to make that statement, because it immediately informs ME that they are about to speak of a situation/action that is commonly judged, or one that they KNOW is a bit iffy (or else why would they say that?).

It kinda is a shot in the foot, as it were... so abstractly I think it's a little courageous and up-front.

When I hear "don't judge" I hear "don't think"
