Do you think that this is possible? Can someone that has profound mental issues find love?

I mean like severe depression, trauma, OCD. Can that person find anyone? Or is it a hopeless situation, like I think it is?

Medication made me far, far worse.

Its definitely not hopeless. The only way it would be hopeless is if you completely shut yourself off from everybody for the rest of your life, and somehow managed not to let anyone in, ever.

my sis is OCD, has anxiety, depression, she's dyslexic, and she found love. so, don't give up. cus, trust me on this. my sis, she's been through a Loooot. She's even been in a couple metal hospitals. and, she's even acting like a jerk to this guy. but, he took her back. and, even though she's afraid. she Is in love. so, you'll definitely find someone, trust me. don't give up ^^

Most all metal health issues can be treated with counseling and/or medication. Then I don't see why not.

It should not really matter you should learn to answer questions and see if you can remember if you cant remember you need professional therapist .
