Selling my truck online.. Got a weird email reply?

So I put a ad up about selling my truck because I got a new vehicle. Well the truck needs work on the body(to be resafetied)
I indicated this on the ad as well I said I am currently driving it. Well I got a email from someone claiming they had money and could pay up to 700$ for it and have it gone by Sunday this week. I told the, $800 and it's there's.. Well I got a email back asking for my address that's it. I did take a look t there email address and I noticed the email address is law enforcement Ottawa.. A gmail account. I don't live in Ottawa and the truck isn't in my name( I'm selling it for my husband). We bought the truck less then a year ago. I stopped messaging this email and looking for advice. The truck is a family members name who doesn't owe money. Should I be worried about anything? I'm so confused and my anxiety gets the best of me.

NEVER give out your home address to an anonymous person online. Now they know where you live.

When you sell a car you make arrangements to meet them in a public place in the middle of the day and never go alone. Always show up with a friend. Never alone.

You never know who you're emailing with and you should be more aware of the dangers of dealing with strangers on the Internet.

Ask for a phone number and call them.

The author of the emails could simply be employed by the police department and is using their email account at work...probably also surfing for used cars/trucks on company time! Anyway, as long as you have a clear title of ownership and are authorized to sell the car, then no worries.

Do not know what you are afraid of. But the person who owns the truck will have to do the final deal. Be that your husband or the 'other relative'
