Rumor mill has Edwards leaving Roush. That only leaves a few places for Edwards to go. Penske has to be a good option, starting a full time 3rd team. JGR could start a 4th team. Maybe Kahne out at Hendrick, Edwards in? Weirder things have happened. What's your take?

I don't think Penske is going to end up being an option, but I wouldn't be shocked at all to see JGR make room for him. I don't care if JGR has had recent problems; that equipment is much more competitive than Roush stuff has been for a long time. Just go ask Matt Kenseth how that move went. As a whole, that team has been amazingly successful the last several years.
Carl is one of my favorite drivers, RFR is my favorite team, and Ford is my brand of choice, but the guy needs to get away from RFR, regardless of the team.
NO NOT JGR! Ugh. I recall JGR being an option when he was negotiating last contract...and Joe backed out...Carl wanted more $$ than what he was worth. I hope its the same and Joe backs out again. I don't want Carl teammates with Kyle, Matt and Denny. I would LOVE to see and up and coming Sprint driver in that ride...Kyle Larson, Trevor Bayne...someone Joe could help out like he did Joey Logano.
I think it depends on how this year goes. Edwards will stay with Roush if he has a championship or at least comes close or maybe if he can't find greener pastures amongst the other options. If he was to head elsewhere, I'd say it was due to greener pastures there and maybe so a friend of his could take the 99's seat, if that's possible. He once said he has a friend that's a Roush Nationwide driver and I admit that driver may or may not be around next year. I hope he ( Carl Edwards' friend) can still race many more years, but there's no guarantee either way. Not a fan of Edwards, but his friend's my Nationwide driver.
I think he will be with Joe Gibbs Racing with a 4th team. Edwards already has turned down driving for Richard Childress fourth team. Roush has signed Trevor Bayne to drive along with Stenhouse and Biffle. Penske is not planning a full time 3rd team. That only leaves JGR with a 4th team. Ford obviously did want to pony up the same amount they did in 2011 to keep him in a Ford for 3 more years.
