thanks for answering ....the states were mississippi,florida,alabama,georgia,louisiana,texas,verginia,arkansas,tennessee,north carolina
south carolina,parts of kentucky and missouri also seceded: there representatives were seated
in the congress of the confederacy .
ohio maryland and delaware stayed in the union .
