Every year has passed, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40 and now 41. And I am still without anyone? I don't want to give up, but there is less and less hope I will find anyone. And this whole thing has gotten me so morbidly depressed. When is it going to change? I have tried everything. Why am I cursed to be alone?

You are not curse. Dont worry, everything is written in the fate, it is just the matter of time. The time comes when you forgot abt it, its like searching for things in your house, when u search for it, u cant find it, but when you totally forget, it appears out of nowhere. So dont worry, the time will come. :)
It's time to be a little introspective and to look at yourself really objectively. When you say that you haven't had "anyone" in all these years, do you mean literally no dates at all, or just haven't found "the one"? Have you been trying? Have you asked anyone out or at least approached women? It's hard to know what type of advice to give you without knowing more about your situation. But given your age and the fact that you've kind of been out of the dating game for a while, I would suggest trying some online dating. It's a little less intimidating. I would suggest trying eHarmony specifically. Out of all the sites I've tried, I think this one is the site that would give a person the best chance. It's a lot less superficial than other dating sites and it tends to attract people who are a little more serious about finding someone for something long term. It's a paid site, which is one of the reasons it's higher quality. Give that a shot. Remember - even with online dating, it's still a numbers game and waiting game. It won't necessarily happen in the first week or month that you're there, but if you put your best foot forward and present yourself well, you should have some success with it.
Just don't reject people of how they look and try not to think of an ideal person and search only for that. Give a chance to women you never thought you would approach, they might surprise you in a good way....Good luck!
