Earbud recommendation?

I go through ear buds like crazy (one every month or two). I prefer these over head phones because headphones are not pocket sized. I prefer durable, average sound, nothing that would block All sound, I would like to hear somewhat. When I say durable I mean strong cords and/or waterproof. And where do I get them too. Any ideas?

Sennheiser is the most affordable quality brand (yep, they make earbuds too), other equally reputable brands Shure, Grado, Denon, AKG, Bowers & Wilkins, Bang & Olufsen, Etymotic, Beyerdynamic and Audio-Technica are more expensive.

Maintenance tips:

Buy yourself a protective carrying case/pouch and put your audio gear in there whenever not in use
Always unplug your listening device whenever NOT in use
Do NOT wrap the cord around ANYTHING, do NOT let the cord become tangled!
Do NOT jerk your head too much while listening to the music
Do NOT pull from the cord, pull from the plug
Do NOT drop your audio device
Do NOT fall asleep with the earbuds on!
Do NOT crank up the volume to the max, this kills especially earbuds VERY fast because small earbuds canNOT tolerate maximum volume!
If using in-ear earbuds, please keep the plugs as clean as possible by using DRY lint-free cloth or DRY Q-tip or swab. Do NOT use any alcohol-based cleaning detergents!

Skull candy earbuds/phones are good! If you can find a pair that has a sort of fabric around the wires, they last even longer! That's what I have and they sound good, they last a while, and they're relatively cheap.

they are called earphones not earbuds.
an earbud is what you use to clean your ears.
