It is a small glass bowl with a solar panel on top. I cleaned off the panel. It says there is a :Rechargeable Battery inside. Well, doesn't that mean that the sun recharges the battery or do I need to get a new battery? Can I use any battery? Thanks in advance!

Same as the garbage solar lamps I have in the garden up here in Montreal Butter Cup, last a season, and then they are only good to throw out. I have 4 which cost me a bit, and they have lasted three seasons now, still going strong.
Yeah, after a lot of charging and discharging those batteries finally lose their ability to take a charge. If the battery is accessible, it can be replaced with a rechargeable battery. But sometimes the solar panel goes bad. If it's that, might as well junk it.
they cost a wopping 3.29 at home depot consider the life span youve witnessed with the one you have do you want to replace it or not ? its a pain to replace the battery which was made in china since they been caught using lead based paint on childrens toys from out on this limb the chances of lead based batteries id calculate as 50-50 most times they wont seal and never work properly again so 3.29 you make the call your welcome (in advance)
