Is this a poem?

God forgot them.
Carried away with angels and demons,
he forgot them.
Along the banks of the Euphrates was
the Garden of Eden...
snakes.
And things that follow snakes...
human, I think.
Knuckles trailing the ground.
Foreheads too.

Upon this the word 'humanity' was
evolved.

To me when you write what you feel it is a poem, whether if it is good or bad is another matter. I am a creationist but I can read another persons poem and say if I think is good, even if I disagree with the content. Write on and Guten Morgen.

More like a statement written in lines one after the other.
Poems that rhyme about beauty are best.

Along the banks of the Euphrates was
the Garden of Eden.
it was a lovely place
never needin' weedin'
Adam live there
with his second wife Eve
and until they were apple pickers
never wore any knickers.

Knuckles trailing the ground speaks evolution rather than creation but then the next line about foreheads imply man's stupidity. Yes, you covered both sides of the debate here! GM to you

Few lines, thoughts expressed, and sometimes a poem is much more :)(:
Happy us such a vision could not be, because love is a feature, the greatest of then all, upon our Creator's face. Neither Adam could leave Eve, nor our LORD God will ever forget us!
Adam had one and only love! The same our Creator loves us more than we will ever live and is waiting for us, for each of us, as long as we will be...
A verse from the Bible:
« Set me as a seal upon your heart,
As a seal upon your arm;
For LOVE IS as strong as death,
Jealousy as cruel as the grave (a);
Its flames are flames of fire,
A most vehement flame (b). » (Song of Solomon 8:6)

(a) Or Sheol;
(b) Literally A flame of YAH (a poetic form of YHWH, the Lord).
