Why don't you ask the Manager at McDonald's or call the Human Resources 800 number. It also is probably in your employee handbook, etc.

Your employer has to offer it as a benefit. If they do not offer a 401k plan, you can not contribute to one.
However.......
You can contribute to an IRA.
