I need decoration help.?

Question

We have a new house and the wall runs from the living room though the dinning room into the kitchen. The Living room/dining room are gray and the kitchen is sage green. So there is no divider between the two so the gray ends on this wall and the green begins.
What would be a good treatment to combine these room? I have though about some molding running vertically to separate the colors and then putting up pictures and/or art work in this area. I also saw a tree painted on a wall with some family pictures hanging off the limbs.
Please give me some other ideas. Photos would be nice so I could see how your ideas would look.

You should do a wall with family pics of family together with their' families if possible, you might do this as a project by having them help you take and develop the pics, you could also do a wall with friends only too. Or maybe even just things about your life.
