will building muscle change your overall shape?

My gf is an Apple body so she's been doing a lot of glute exercises to build them up.

But I'm curious if she builds them up big enough for long enough, to where her entire shape has changed (she's getting there) would her entire body. Turn up side down if she lost or gained weight or would that shape be her new foundation?

Hello,
The apple shape mainly consists of the fat forming that way.
If she is working out and working hard toward her goals that's awesome! but the only bad thing is only working the " glutes " that will cause a very bad overall shape in her legs and back because most muscles are going to be underdeveloped compared to the butt.
So the best way to have an amazing over shall is to actually work all the muscles fairly and the same intensity and not neglecting any body part.
And women don't build huge muscles fast due the lack of testosterone in their bodies so don't worry ;)
Kind regards
Ahmed

There's no such thing as shapes. Everyone's muscles look basically the same. What gives people apple, pear or other shapes is fat. Building muscle makes your muscles get bigger. The shape is basically the same for everyone. Search bodybuilders in google. Everyone looks like that with smaller muscles.
