Can you compare global warming skeptics to Galileo...and keep a straight face?
Since the person that asked the original variation of this question censors so many people from answering it, I thought I'd give people a chance.

Dr Jello, you say "prove us wrong", but I've proved you wrong so many times you won't let me answer your questions.

The Galileo comp in this story is Gilbert Plass. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gilbert_Plass
Plass published a well-considered and researched study in 1955 showing that humans are warming the environment via CO2. His study was not well-accepted only because it is just so hard to imagine, it was so much different from what people believed about their world. But as more others began to look at it and test his theories, more and more physicist came to realize that he was right. After 50 years of testing, his conclusions are now widely accepted.
Like Galileo, Gilbert Plass was proved correct. And like Galileo, it took 50 years.
When you honestly compare the "FACT" that atmospheric CARBON has only gone up 0.004% as part of the whole atmosphere since the Industrial Revolution began and show yourself how statistically insignificant that rise is, then maybe skeptics can keep a straight face and not censor your insignificant answers.
Carbon in our atmosphere is the only thing "climate clowns" use as a basis to form their hypothetical global warming scare. If you really think that CO2 is playing such a huge part in temperature movement in either direction by increasing its share of the entire atmosphere by 0.004%, then you are in the right clown tent. Galileo would be proud of us skeptics for sure.
Both are skeptics, both go against the 97% consensus, both are muzzled by the majority,
BUT, Galileo had evidence and was going against an unfounded belief. Global warming deniers dont have evidence. All evidence shows that globally, the temperature has risen around 1 degree celsius in the past 100 years. In fact, 2014 is likely to be, or at least tie 2010 for - the warmest year on record.
Yea, both are skeptics, both go against the 97% consensus, both are muzzled by the majority, both fight government funded "science" both are right......
Prove us wrong. Let us know if it will be warmer or colder in 5 or 10 years, and show your work. If you won't or better stated, can't, we'll accept that this is just what you believe, and you just have faith it will warm.
Galileo got in serious trouble from his fellow scientists. It is a myth that it was the church that went after him. It is human nature, apparently, to protect old tired ideas. That is a lesson I have learned many times. The old tired ideas eventually die but often not without a struggle.
