in spanish, does the word pantalones refer to a single pair of pants?
but is pluralized, same as the word pants in english, which is plurel even though it refers to one unit, or does pantalón mean "a pair o pants" while pantalones means two or more pairs?
el pantalón = what we call a pair of trousers in Europe. we understand the word / pants/ to mean underwear, underpants, knickers - that's pantaletas or calzoncillos if you are American you will be familiar with Merriam-Webster dictionaries : http://www.spanishcentral.com/translate/pantal%C3%B3n
