The game is just a major toss up as Oregon's hammered Florida State in the Rose Bowl, and the starting QB won the Heisman Trophy, and Ohio State's 3rd string QB is playing like a Heisman Trophy winner or finalist. The game is definitely toss up, would greatly appreciate answers on who to take as Ohio State obviously surprised Alabama in the Sugar Bowl, most people weren't expecting that.
Ohio State beat Chip Kelly's Oregon Ducks playing Tressell ball. OSU can beat Oregon playing Meyer ball. The biggest boost to this version of the Bucks is the robust confidence of going to the national title the same season they lost to Virginia Tech. The Bucks are young, skilled, hungry, dangerous and powerful. The biggest strength is they obviously adapt. I think it will be a thriller. Bucks win.
To me, one of the biggest reasons why Ohio State won was because Alabama's playcalling was too predictable and conservative. It was either an ineffective screen pass, a short hook route to Cooper, or a TJ Yeldon run. Oregon won't be that dumb with their playcalling. I don't think Cardale and Co. will be able to keep up with Oregon.
