I was going to make paper mâché around a balloon and I have the paste ready (water & flour) and then I realized that i had NO newspaper. I still want to make it, so is there any way I could do it without newspaper & another paper. Maybe magazine paper or conputer paper? Thanks

Any kind of paper will work, thin absorbent types are better. I've used magazines in the past and comics, junk mail and flyers are all other free sources of paper. Smaller pieces give a better overall effect than strips, but requires more layers for stability so will take a little longer.
You might want to check with the rest of the household before there's a surprise toilet roll drought thought. Have fun with it.
