He is idiot enough to attempt that.

I doubt he will, though I think he should!

At this point Guantanamo doesn't really serve any purpose. We have no real enemies in the Caribbean. Cuba certainly doesn't threaten us. I think we've held onto the base all these years just to stick a thumb in Castro's eye.

If you really want to balance the budget, you have to stop wasting money on things that aren't important! We've given up manned space flight, and a lot of people seem very unhappy about it. We've closed military bases all over the US, and I think we're reconsidering many bases overseas. Those things will all save money, as would closing Guantanamo.

But the biggest consideration today is the prisoners. We can't get them out of there because we can't find another place to put them!

You do know that if he does it is illegal to do so. Gitmo is part of a treaty signed in, I believe 1908 bequeathing the Guantanamo Bay to the US. He has 0 legal power to do this. But that has not stopped Barry before.

Mr. Smarty Pants has no understanding of the history or the purpose of Gitmo. So dumb has to have voted for Barry.

With all the prisoners still inside... Let's see what Castro would do with all the Al Qaeda terrorists. At least then it wouldn't be America's problem any more.

I'd be happier if he gave California to China or Mexico.
