How do I file?

I'm 18, I live with my parents (they claim me as a depedent), and I went to college last year. I paid for one semester, and they paid for the other.

Can we split this up, or would my parents claim it or do I?

What's the best way to do this.

Whoever claims the student as a dependent gets all education credits.

Your parents claim, you are ineligible for education credits as a dependent.

Your parents claim the entire education credit.  You can't.
