Is it okay to write an essay on Frozen for my College writing class?

We're supposed to write an Evaluation essay about whatever we'd like. I chose to do mine on a movie and I thought maybe Frozen would be a good movie to do. However, for a college writing class, is that okay? Or does that seem too childish? Like, should I choose a different movie? If so, what movie?

There's nothing wrong with it, Disney movies are for anyone, not just children. If you know you can write a good essay about Frozen then do it, it's better than changing it about something that you don't feel as passionate about as it may reflect on your actual essay.

Besides, it's only the professor or board reading it, they cannot mark you down for basing your essay on a Disney movie.

Technically, you can do whatever movie you want. Your professor WILL probably think it is very childish, however. But that shouldn't affect your grade if it's a well-done assignment. It really depends on if you care about being seen as a child.

I don't think it is childish. Frozen while a Disney film, has a lot in it. From empowerment, to friendship, to broken families, to feminism etc.
