Burning rubber smell coming from dryer?

what happened, I smelt it for over an hour, I thought it was nothing but then I checked The dryer and saw steam coming from it and then smelt burning rubber. I stopped and unplugged it, but now the whole house smells like burning rubber. Am I gonna get sick?

No you will not get sick. Rubber smell probably a belt that burned, have the dryer check. Do not use until it is checked.
