My mom just told me I was fat now I don't know what to do?

I have always had a thin physique and big hips/butt I stopped running and haven't ran in a long time and I did gain weight but not enough to say that I'm fat. The only thing that got bigger was my thighs but in my opinion they look nice and full and I went to go get a burger and fries from Norms and my mom just told me to stop eating meat because I was getting fat she said that my butt was too big and that my weight gain is noticable, I needed to gain weight anyways because of my career choice, I just feel like complete **** rn and my self esteem just went to **** after that comment my mom made, what do I do?

It's all up to you. If you like your body, then stay that way. But if you don't then do something. If it's for your career, GREAT! Just make sure you're still behind the line of unhealthy. Gain but stay in the healthy zone if that makes sense. Don't go far enough were you can cause yourself health problems. Consider this, when your mom criticizes you, does she do it in a way were she WANTS to hurt you, or to notify you about your appearence YOU want. If she wants you to look a certain way, that could be her problem or she just wants you to look nice and attract others. Of course you want someone who respects you !!!! but Sometimes looks do matter to some. Not all though. (that's a different topic haha)

So in other words, If you like yourself stay you and be confident. If you think maybe she is saying so in a way were she just wants to help you in some way, you can listen or deny. Don't drop your level of self esteem. I'm sure you're beautiful no matter what:)
Just take it as a notification you can take or not take into consideration

fitness should always part of your life, your appearance has nothing to do with it
