How do I remove a recessed LED casing/housing?

I have recessed LEDs in my house, but the ones in the bathroom have a special casing (pictured) - presumably to keep moisture out. I've tried twisting and pulling reasonably hard to remove it to change the bulb, but it doesn't want to shift! I can't remove the bulb first as the casing is obscuring the fittings. Is there something obvious I'm missing?

Those lights are usually held in place by a circular ring. Remove the wire ring and the light will fall out. If its the housing you want to remove then make sure you kill the power before you go at it.

these may have been painted in place or the fixtures have been reapplied to a wet-paint ceiling == give it a bump with the back of your fist and maybe that will jar it loose .....
