Question for Vegans, please. What would you eat if you were on long flight on your airplane when you go on vacaton?

It's a good idea to bring your own snack or purchase a prepackaged meal/snack at the airport before you board the plane. That being said most airlines offer some types of vegan foods such as fruit, salads, and juices. Heck pretzals and peanuts are vegan.

If your flying first class the flight attendants will usually give you as many fresh fruit cups or peanuts as you want. I know that when I fly first class I can't get the flight attendants to stop offering me foods....

It's been a long time since I've been on a flight that serves food. Most of my flights are of pretty short duration, and I'm lucky to get a bag of peanuts.

Anyway, sometimes I have to eat in the airport, but luckily most airports have options for me. I try to remember to bring packets of peanut butter in my purse or carry on. If I'm in a bind--and this has happened--I can buy a bagel and a banana and have a pretty good mini-meal.

I usually choose the vegan meal option and eat that. One time there was a soy chicken-coconut curry with rice which was absolutely delicious! If the flight was not serving meals I would bring snacks like dried mango, nakd bars (dried fruit and nut), or a cooked meal like rice, tofu veggies or a cold quinoa-veggie salad.

I would definitely bring my own food. Mostly fruit and quinoa because I like my quinoa cold its not a big deal that I wont have access to a microwave. However I definitely wouldn't bring anything that will give you major gas and bloating. Beans and certain veggies are not good choices.
Some good choices are:
Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches
quinoa
apples or pears (cut up to make it easier)
bananas
carrots
celery
a small salad
cut up bell pepper
cut up cucumber
berries
nuts
pretzels
Have a fun and safe trip!

Probably a cashew butter sandwich and a snack bar made of dried fruit and chopped nuts. Or maybe some homemade baked root vegetable crisps/chips. Something that's both satisfying aswell as easy to carry around.
