Should I use box dye or go to a salon?

My hair is currently a dark blonde, reddish colour. This isn't a very good picture to use as there isn't much of my hair actually in the picture but its the only one I have http://tinypic.com/r/x2o27d/8 . 
I want to dye my hair blonde like this http://tinypic.com/r/117b4hj/8 (early Taylor swift lol, and yes I am aware of how pale this will make me look.) but I am unsure if I should go to a salon, or if its possible to do it from the box? Would this be considered color corrective? (I dyed my hair over two months ago with box dye.)

Go to a salon. Here's why:
If you're dying your hair darker, sure, go for the box dye. It's a piece of cake to go darker.
If you're going lighter, always go to the salon. First off, if you've dyed your hair a slightly darker color at ALL, a box dye will not dye your hair blonde (I know from experience!). Once you've dyed it, you would need to strip the color off before applying new color, or bleach it, etc... point is, there's a huge chance of making a hot mess of your hair. Leave the lightening to the professionals, but if you ever want to go dark, get a box!
