Prince William said that he was "not a jewellery person", it going to be difficult when he is crowned king. All this effluent being spoken that it isn't a British tradition, I can't believe such rubbish, my great grandfather in the 1800s wore a wedding ring, that has been passed down the generations. Take no notice of litigating Lili., it IS common in THE U.K
?
As said, in the past British men didn't always have a ring - my father did and that was years ago btw. However, the Prince may have a ring (I can't remember whether rings were exchanged at their wedding, others will know) but doesn't wear it when he's working?

Although it's not uncommon to see British men wearing a wedding ring it's not as widespread as you would expect. It is an American custom more than British. Willaim's father wears his wedding ring on his little finger on his left hand and the Duke of Edinburgh has never worn a wedding ring. It's more personal preference in the UK, many married men don't feel the need.

It's actually not a widespread British custom for men to do this. British men have started doing it only fairly recently, wedding rings for men having been adopted from the US. Prince William stated that he wasn't a "jewelry person".
In that, he's like many of his fellow British men.

Men don't usually wear wedding rings in England, it's considered a bit effeminate.
