Homemade db4 antennas stacked in opposite directions?

I currently have a homemade db4 antenna without reflector and was wondering if I was to make a second identical antenna if I could point the Whisker's on one facing nort and south and the Whisker's on the other facing east and west and connect them together
I know my cables would need to be the same length but would appreciate some insight on whether or not it would work and why if not from someone who knows about antenna principals
Thank you

It should work, though I think the antennas have to be separated maybe 3 to 4 feet apart to avoid interfering with one another. You might look at the Yagi design, especially for a particular station frequency. That can work well because the Yagi is very directional, the more elements the more directional and the more gain.
