"Whats the point of choosing the best answer." -- It's to encourage people to answer your question and also way of saying "Thank you!" to people who have spent their time and effort answering your question.
"If i myself don't know what's the actual answer. How am i to judge if am the one asking." -- People usually double check their answers to confirm they are correct. Also, we choose Best Answer based on what we -think- is "best" among the answers our questions have received. It's called "Best Answer," and not the "Correct Answer," for this reason.
