how do i choose an answer for best answer on yahoo answers?

1) At the top of Answers select the In Voting Tab.

2) Select a question that interests you that is ready to have a best answer selected.

3) Read all of the answers - that is if you are being honest.

4) Select the answer that you think is most relevant to the information asked for in the question.

5) Click on the blue tab just below the answer that you have selected as best answer.

6) You will be able to see how may other people have voted for the same answer as best answer.

7) You will also be able to see what percentage of the votes have been given to that answer as best answer.

8) You will receive 1 point for having given that person a best answer for his/her answer to another persons question.

9) Close out of that question and go to the next question and repeat the process.

If it is a question that you have asked youself:

1) You have to read all the answers that people have given to your question when the question comes up for the best answer to be selected. Otherwise the answer will be left for the rest of us to select a best answer or there will be no winner if no one votes.

2) Write a brief but meaningful message to the winner. You can write a message to the other people who have given answers too if you want to.

3) Give the message a star rating. This is important. It the message is very good and a lot of work has gone into it - that is a lot of web sites and information it is likely to rate a four or five star. On the other hand if there aren't many long and informative answers but the best one still has some information you may give it a three star.

4) Click the best answer button.

5) The person getting the best answer receives 10 points.

All you have to do to choose a Best Answer is:-

You must wait for a minimum of four hours or more.

Click onto your question.

Read through each answer and decide which one is the best answer.

Once you have chosen your Best Answer, click the blue button underneath the answer "Choose as Best Answer".

Rate the answer by the number of stars.

Comment on the answer if you want to.

Click OK

To choose a best answer

Wait for a minimum of 4 hours

When the 4 hours is over

1-Go to your question

A blue Choose As Best Answer bar is under every answer

2-Click on it when you have your favorite answer

3-Rate 1-5, 1 star is Decent, but not great and 5 stars is Thorough and Informative

4-Then comment and/or reply to the answerer and click OK

You earn 3 points for choosing a best answer

To vote for a best answer

1- Go to any category page

2- Click on the In Voting tab

You'll see questions that are in the Voting status

3- Click on any one you want to vote for

4- Click on the blue Vote As Best Answer bar

When you find your favorite answer

You can only vote once

Each vote earns you 1 point.

1. Wait 4 hours after asking your question

2. Under the answer you want to pick as the best, should be a blue box titled "Choose as Best Answer"

3. Click it

4. BAM! You just picked a best answer, and got yourself 3 points!

Note: Once the question is older then 4 days you cannot select the best answer

Wait four hours after you post your question, click your avatar, this will bring you to your profile page.

scroll down to your "my questions":::::click that and your questions come up, click the one you want... . There will be a blue bar under each answer you got that says choose as best answer...... Click on that blue button if you want to choose that answer as best answer, a new page comes up

....Then you rate it 1-5 stars and write a comment in the space provided.. Click OK and it's Done..... You receive 3 points for choosing and the best answer gets 10 points and 1 extra for each thumbs up to a total of 50, don't forget to give that answer a thumbs up (you can start giving thumbs up and down on level 2). ::::::::::A question goes to voting if you have not chosen a best answer after 4 days....Then you can vote for best answer and receive one point but there is no guarantee that the one you think is best will be chosen as the answer with the most votes will get best answer.... You can also vote no best answer (no points given) and if that is the question with the most votes it is removed and the posters 5 points are returned.....Any level can choose best answer for a question they have asked and any level can vote on any questions in voting.

wait 4 hours after u ask the wuestion then click ur question and below an answer will be a blue box saying choose as best click the one u want

EX: in 4 hours click the blue box below my answer

First of all - was the answer relevant?

was the answer precise and accurate?

was the answer from a reliable source?

did the person who wrote the answer actually put any thought into it?

and finally your gut feeling about which answer you most agree with.

The answer which does these to the greatest extent should be the best answer.

you click the button under that persons question and say choose as best answers then rate it 1-5 stars and leave comments if you want

I'm ok with not getting best answer because some answers are just fun.

If you are having trouble deciding you can pick anyone or leave it for voting

You ask a question and then you look at the replies that you have gotten.You then look for the

reply that answered your question or best answered your question.You then hit the button that

says "best answer",rate the person,and then comment on their answer.
