Last minute Halloween ideas for a college student with no car?

I m in college and I pretty much have to walk everywhere so I have no access to clothing stores. I pretty much only have access to stores like Walgreens and CVS which are pretty close to me. Are there any easy Halloween costumes I could put together?

I might just be a sarcastic Mom of three grown kids, but I would tell my kids to walk into a room carrying a book and wearing tennis shoes (with clothes) and say, "Hi, I just walked. I'm a poor college kid with no car."
