Are we just really close friends?

So theres this girl and she kinda confuses me. She knows i like her but she really doesnt say much about whether she likes me or not. Last time we talked she told me that if i wasnt moving to another country we could date. Idk if she was just using that as an excuse.

Anyway i came home for  a little and we hung out. She always eats after me and we kiss and we hang out a bit. But the difference was when i came back she would complement me and stuff. It was different. But when i left i just gave her a kiss on the cheek instead of the lips and told her "just friends right' and she laughed and said yeah.

I really think id like to have her as a friend more than a girlfriend because shes cool but idk what we are. I havent really ever hung out with girls so idk if this is normal.

Well she gave you a big hint that she would DATE you if you were not leaving the country??
Did you leave the country? if not and she is probably still waiting for you to either pick up on her hint (statement) OR for you to counter with a solution rather than the questionable "just friends right" ?? 
I feel she would love to be your girl and have you as her boy (you know bf/gf) though you seem to be scared to take that step, your very comfortable with her as she is with you, so is it the thought of the unknown or is it you really do not have the level of feelings you think she would need.
The only way to find out is to talk to her about how much you feel for her and what expectations you both have for the other.
Oh and having a real cool girlfriend as to a cool friend ? yup no contest there gf every time in my book.
