Christians, why do you tell your significant other you'll love them forever when you won't be married together in heaven?

You'll both be angels...

Human emotions today might make this a difficult conclusion to accept. But it is to be noted that nowhere does the Bible say that God’s resurrecting the faithful means restoring their marital status.

Thank God for that. Who'd want to be married forever?
Really?????

First, not being married doesn't mean you can't love them.

Second, we don't become angels.

Because love, TRUE love, in its "godly" form, is eternal, but marriage is only meant for THIS life. Also, we do not become angels in heaven. Sorry!

Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!” Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe.” (John 20:28-29)

Jesus said to me, "The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage: But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:" Luke 20:34-35 (KJV)

Jesus said to me, "His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry.
But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given.
For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it." Matt 19:10-12 (KJV)

6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. Matt 19:4-6 (KJV)
