My mother is a foster parents to special need kids. Her job is non taxed and she has no deocumentation she works. I recently applied to college and I was wonder would I have to put this on my fasfa.

Income from foster care is generally not included on the FAFSA. ( I say "generally" because there are instances when a foster parent receives taxable wages or funds that are not considered part of the support for the child). If your mother does not file a tax return and has no income from working, then you would choose the response "My parent is not going to file" and enter 0 for income from working. Foster children are not included in the number in your household, even if they live with you full time, because their support comes from a source other than your parent.. However, if you do not report any income, be prepared for the school to select your FAFSA for verification, or at least to have to fill out a low income form to explain how your family is supported. So, your mom should hang on to any documentation that shows the source of her income, even though it isn't from working.
