How accurate is the Savage Mark II GY?

This is the youth model of the Savage Mark II G and has a 10-round magazine. I am considering this as my first rifle because I am a little short, and it fits me perfectly. I also checked out at the Ruger American Rimfire Compact in the store, which is about the same size, but I just like the look and feel of the Savage better. I have seen videos on YouTube of the Mark II's accuracy, but none for the GY version. Can anyone who knows about or has this model tell me what group sizes you get and at what distances? Also, what ammunition works well in it and is accurate? Thank you.

I used to bullseye womp rats in my T-16 back home with a Savage mark II GY. They're not much bigger than two meters.

Seriously, the "G" means it is the standard 21" barrel with wood stock ("F" is synthetic stock). In general Savage bolt actions are accurate. Accuracy is at least 2" at 50 yards and probably closer to 1" if you find the right ammo.

As for ammo to start with, I would start with CCI Mini-Mags, but I would not rule out using subsonic Lupua (or Wolf) Match ammo for accuracy.
