2009 Toyota Venza: Factory stereo with controls on the steering wheel?

I'm considering replacing the stereo in this Venza. The steering wheel has a "Mode" button which also turns the stereo on and off as well as select between AM, FM and CD (6 cd changer)(I don't use CD's any longer). Buttons that also control volume and channel/track.

I want to put an after market stereo in that has Bluetooth. I THINK (Operative word, "Think") the steering wheel controls are connected to the stereo via bluetooth.

First question: "Is that so?"

Second question: "Can I find an after market stereo that will connect to my steering wheel controls?"

And if you have any advice, what's a good stereo to fill the bill? I want a stereo that can accept a USB memory chip with music stored on it.

Thanks.

Steering wheel controls are hard wired.
Several aftermarket units are capable of retaining those controls. Make sure you get one that is. You will also need a steering wheel control adapter.
If you by the HU at crutchfield they offer a significant discount on installation accessories.

There's JVC, Kenwood, Pioneer, Alpine all in the $80-125 range:

You'd have to add the adapter for about $50 from that site.

Plenty of good options here too:

Probably save you a few bucks on accessories.
