Why do people get mad when people practice their rights?

I've been watching videos on youtube about dealing with the police. To be clear I have never had problems with the police just video surfing. I thought they were pretty interesting but I see a lot of comments that people who assert their rights are crazy and stupid for making police's jobs harder. Videos like Know Your Rights and such. I thought it was more interesting than anything else, there was information about things I had no idea we were allowed to do. The simple act of refusing to answer a question to me was more empowering than any organized protest I had seen (again web surfing). So why be mad about people flexing their rights?

People get mad when people practice their rights because they don't like other people having rights. They want to be the only ones with rights.

I have no idea. Why do American Christians get mad when homosexuals practice their rights to get married?

There are limits to so called rights. And many people use rights to act like jerks.

You're going to need to provide *some* examples or context before we can answer this meaningfully.
